Please Read this on the FOAMMAX:Here is some information about the Foam Max spray foam system. We designed and built these systems for durability and productivity. From 2002-early 2007 I helped to build and grow a local Icynene Contractor, - into one of the biggest Icynene dealers in the USA in 2005. At our peak we had 3 rigs and sprayed a semi-truck load of foam every 3 weeks. As you can imagine we had our hands full keeping rigs going and breakdowns were a weekly occurrence. After trying all the Glas-Craft, Graco, Gusmer, and PSI machines we find that they all had design flaws and recurring problems. We wanted this system to be reliable. So we intentionally created the system using existing technology, parts that are used in the most severe industrial applications. For example, we use a rotary screw compressor instead of a piston compressor because they are used in places like the desert and the in extreme cold climates and operate dependably in both severe dust and heat and severe cold etc. We generate heat using a diesel engine and heat material by circulating the engine's antifreeze through a heat exchanger and through the hoses because that is the most common and dependable way to move heat in existence. By creating the system in this way we have built the most reliable spray foam system on the planet. We tested it for ourselves for over 12 months and in that time we experienced 3 breakdowns total. That alone saved us almost $10,000 in repairs during that time. We also wanted the system to be easy to maintain and repair if they did break. So the majority of the components in the rig are available at NAPA, truck stop, or other local source. Because we built it this way, the 3 breakdowns we did experience averaged less than $175 to fix and we were able to get the parts locally and quickly so our average downtime was less than 2 hours/breakdown. This enabled us to save another $5000 during a 12 month period in recovered man hours. All told, we ended up adding over $27,000 back to our bottom line at the end of the year -long study because we broke down less, could fix things cheaper, and could spray more jobs because we got more production hours out of that machine than any other. The two gun version of that same system adds yet another incredible boost to production and profitability. Matt |
